The Elkano USS Team is the Spanish virtual sailing team with the greatest potential in Virtual Regatta Offshore, the world's largest online sailing competition with more than 300,000 active users.

Who are we?

We are a team of Spanish virtual sailors with a work methodology that goes far beyond simply sailing. Each regatta is an exercise in tactics, meteorology, and routing. We analyze the wind, plot optimal routes using tools like eSail4VR and VRZen, and prepare comprehensive tactical briefings before each departure.

The benchmark Spanish team

We compete in the most demanding races on the virtual offshore circuit: Solitaire du Figaro, Normandy Channel Race, Route du Rhum, and the virtual Vendée Globe. We are the highest-ranked Spanish team in our VSR category, a benchmark for the Spanish-speaking virtual regatta community.

Preparation at the level of professional teams

Before each regatta, we prepare a comprehensive tactical briefing: weather analysis for the first 24 hours, sail configuration based on the boat's polar alignment, optimized waypoints, and fleet strategy. It's the same methodology used by professional offshore teams, applied to the virtual environment.
